Ek-Cowri Ring
Ek-Cowri Ring
The Cowrie shell is typically the exoskeleton of a tiny sea snail. It was an acceptable means of currency from ancient times all the way up to the 1800s. Colloquially the phrase "ek-cowrie" or one cowrie is used to say- almost nothing. This statement ring has been designed to highlight the shell in all its natural grandeur. This ring is worn as a knuckle ring and covers all 4 fingers. Made from a giant cowrie clasped with brass.
